I’m constantly fascinated by the variety of journeys we are all on. Our path through life takes us in different directions and we walk the road at different speeds.
Today was church, again. We each arrived, coming from different places. We sang together. We prayed together. We sang some more. And at the end of the hour we packed our coats and coffee cups and left, going back to our different places. Some places good. Some places bad.
Some went back to their questions without answers.
Some went with their questions answered.
Some went back to their struggles and frustrations.
Some went with their heart at peace.
Some went back to their plans and schemes.
Some left with no agenda at all.
Some went back to their frustrations and pain.
Some left in comfort and joy.
Some closed their eyes and walked back into darkness.
Some left in the full light of day.
