DAY 53

A Metaphor For My Life: TOMTOM.

So, in the process interviewing for my new job, I may have misrepresented myself. A little.

This new job will require that I visit Veterans in their homes throughout the central Indiana area. I may have stated that I am good with directions and never get lost and visiting these homes will never be a problem.

The truth is, I’m TERRIBLE with directions and nearly ALWAYS get lost. I can get lost driving home from the grocery store.

As I reviewed my interview with my wife, I mentioned this little “slip of the tongue”. Without hesitation, she offered the suggestion of a TOMTOM. It was more than a suggestion. You will note that I have the newest directional technology now mounted on my dash.

The sexy British voice takes me to my destination every, single time. If I refuse to listen to her advice, she simply thinks of a new way to get me there.

The Moral of the Story as I leave my old job and start a new one? I may not know where I’m going but Someone does. I’ll just keep listening to the directions.
