While we received ice pellets and a slight glazing of freezing rain, some parts of the state were really hit with the liquid death. I drove past this tree about 30 minutes southwest of Indy today and was amazed by the ice cycles hanging from the branches. It looked like a Christmas tree!
The roads were fine until I entered a stretch of country road that hadn’t been touched. The ruts and grooves were a little more than my Saturn could take.
It was a great day to be out and see the sites.
It was not a great day to be driving on ice.
