I’m always thankful when the Christmas decorations are back safely in their boxes and put away in the garage.
It’s not that I fear for their safety. It’s that I’m glad they are out of my house.
There is nothing I enjoy more than hanging the garland and decorating the tree. It brings about memories and piques the senses. But, to be honest, I count the seconds for when I can tear into the ornaments and tinsel to put the house back to a “normal” state. There’s something refreshing about having the pine scent come from Lysol and NOT a tree.
Even Sidney is happy to be back to a house without temptation. (She only ate 5 ornaments, that we know of.)
