I’ve had a few dogs in my lifetime.
Ralph – the shaggy stray who wasn’t with us very long before he decided there must be a better home somewhere else.
Noami – the farm dog who was tougher than nails.
Velvet – the delicate Rat Terrier who thought she was fine china.
Red – the Irish Setter that left my life just a week after he entered my life.
Isha – the Shepherd / Collie mix who was loyal and loving.
Chip – my first Labrador. He was perfect (except for the small issue of eating our other pets).
Dale – the Springer Spaniel who stood up to poop.
Khula – the terror of the neighborhood with ADHD problems.
Jack – the black pug/mix who doesn’t look very smart but hides his cleverness behind a monkey-like gaze.
And then there is Sidney. Saved from a life in a crate, she one of the best dogs. However, as I write this she walked into the room with a piece of plastic in her mouth from the trash. Maybe I should rethink her value.
