Dear God,
You know that David doesn’t feel well. He’s staying up late and waking up early. He coughs. He blows his nose. He struggles with aches and pains. He wants to feel better. And so, God, I pray for David.
You know Mary just received the bad news. Her oncologist explained that she would need to have surgery to remove both breasts. She is in shock. She is angry. She is confused. She just wants it all to go away. And so, God, I pray for Mary.
You know the illness and pain that will be felt today by so many. There will be injuries, doctor’s appointments, emergency room visits, consultations, x-rays, and surgeries. There will be quiet conversations with medical experts and chaplains. There will be difficult choices by family members.
You know. And so I pray to you for healing. I pray to you for comfort. I pray to you for your everlasting power.
