Dear Almighty God,
As we leave another Holy Week, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday behind, we pray that you would remind us daily of your love for us.
That there was no soldier’s whip,
No guard’s spear,
No crown of thorns,
No rusty spike that could pierce the flesh or wound the soul more than the sins of your creation.
Thank you for the life that directs us.
Thank you for the scars that heal us.
Thank you for the death that redeems us.
Thank you for your love that saves us.
May we never forget the amazing gift you have given to us.
