Our neighbor’s family member was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer that has metastisised to her liver and pancreas. Her name is Libby Pack. She would like to start chemotherapy but there have been complications.
Libby had surgery to start the process. This led to an infection. The treatment of the infection led to a yeast infection. They cannot start any chemotherapy until this is all under control. It is a scary time for the entire family.
Libby is in her early 50’s with four grown children and a husband who works in the coal mines of Pennsylvania. She is currently in the hospital in Pittsburgh.
